With Q4 and 2016 coming to a close, we thought that it would be nice to look back on a few of the conferences we went to.

On the 21st of September, our Head of Sales for the EU, Gemma Walford addressed audiences at the NHF annual conference in Birmingham.

Her seminar touched upon how stress can adversely affect a person’s wellbeing and how digital solutions can alleviate stress.

According to a recent Labour Force Survey (LFS), the total number of cases of work related stress, depression or anxiety in 2014/15 was 440,000; with a prevalence rate of 1380 per 100,000 workers.

The audience was divided in opinion, when it came to digitalisation and who benefits from it.

This resulted in a lively debate between digital cynics and digital converts. Unfortunately, the debate was not as lively as the ones President Elect Trump participates in, but still yielded some good insights.

Company EAs, logically would benefit the most from a solution like Convene. Since Convene is hosted on cloud, last minute updates can be done easily without your secretary being standing in front of the copier for the better part of his/her work day!

However, what most people don’t realise is that even executives go through a lot of stress attending and preparing for meetings too.  Scrolling through long emails threads with various updates, rummaging through files trying to find a particular chart, and so on. An additional point of stress is ensuring that people are paying attention during a meeting
