Millennials are the technology savvy generation changing the way the rest of us live, work and play. They are also the biggest and probably the most influential workforce in the world. Thanks to millennials, we are witnessing different, newer, and exciting ways of working in the modern digitalised workplace today.

Remote working and adapting work to your schedule are already popular with this generation. So much so that offering remote work options reduces employee turnover and job attrition rates by over 50%, while 91% of remote workers believe they get more work done when working remotely, according to a study published by Stanford University.

This is also the generation that grew up with video and teleconferencing. With 75% of people agreeing that video conferencing will become the preferred method of business communications, this 'trend' is already a workplace norm.

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is a trend that has snuck up on most companies. With 67% of employees already using their own devices (according to a study by Microsoft), companies need to start writing and implemention BYOD policies to keep their information secure.
